USD 482 Bond Proposed/Information

  • December 2, 2025 the Board of Education held a special board meeting to pass a Bond Resolution.

     

    This bond has a purpose of helping the Dighton Elementary Building get the HVAC replaced to where it can provide a safe learning space for PreK-6th grade students.

  • NOTICE

    OF INTENT TO FILE AN APPLICATION FOR PERMISSION

    TO VOTE AND ISSUE SCHOOL BONDS IN EXCESS OF

    THE DISTRICT'S GENERAL BOND DEBT LIMITATION

     

    To the Electors of Unified School District No. 482, Lane County, Kansas (Dighton):

     

                You are hereby notified that the Board of Education (the “Board”), Unified School District No. 482, Lane County, Kansas (Dighton) (the “District”), will make and file its application with the State Board of Education, Topeka, Kansas, together with proof of publication of this Notice, for permission to vote general obligation bonds (the “Bonds”) in excess of the District's general bond debt limitation for the purpose of providing funds to acquire, construct, equip and install HVAC improvements to the District elementary school and other necessary and related improvements (the “Project”), at an estimated cost of $1,100,000.  The costs of the Project will be payable from proceeds of the Bonds in an aggregate amount not to exceed $1,100,000.

     

                The application will be filed pursuant to a resolution adopted by the Board on December 2, 2025, under the authority of K.S.A. 72-5458 et seq., as amended.
